2. Mapping your Audio

Once you open the app, you must first make sure that all of your audio inputs/outputs are set up correctly on your desktop computer in order for the app to hear your voice and/or the voices of others.

It is recommended that you use your headphones while using Naitiv. Please connect your headphones to the laptop and then open the Naitiv app for them to show up as System Audio.

Your Microphone

This is your physical microphone, the same one that you would normally use to talk to people. Make sure you set this correctly, or the app won’t be able to hear you.

Guest Audio Source

Set this to System Audio so that Naitiv can hear the person you are talking to. This will be your headphones/speakers (headphones recommended)

[Optional] Audio Playback

This is optional. Set this to your physical speakers/headphones so you can hear what you’re saying.

Your Virtual Microphone

This is where text-to-speech (from what you are saying that was interpreted) will be outputted. If you’ve installed VB Audio Cable, you should see an option in the dropdown menu with this option:

*Line (VB-Audio Virtual Cable*

Others will hear you through this “virtual microphone”. In your desktop app (Zoom, game, etc.) you’ll set this as your microphone!

Your Program - Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Discord etc.

You will want to switch the “microphone source” in your program to VB-Audio Cable, so that people can hear Naitiv’s speech.

On Zoom for example, the menu that will allow you to select the VB Audio Cable as the microphone can be found by clicking the options arrow by the microphone icon.

If you do not want to do any translation and just use the chatbot/voice enhancement feature, then set “Their Language” to match “Your Language”

Setting your Voice

Your Voice

These are the custom voices based on your voice engine. Please Clone your own Voice from Settings → Voice for your voice to show up in the list.

Voice Engine

This is the text-to-speech engine that will be used for others to hear. It’ll speak into this based on what is set in “Their Language”
